Mamagrove's Postnatal Therapy sessions are designed to uniquely support your body's healing and reintegration after childbirth, while also ensuring a smooth and successful breastfeeding journey for every new parent.
We typically recommend scheduling your first postnatal massage session five to seven days after a natural birth. If you had a c-section, please get clearance from your gynaecologist or midwife first, usually around six weeks postpartum. This timing helps ensure that your body is ready for massage therapy, promoting optimal healing and comfort.
Experience deep relaxation with a gentle Swedish Massage combined with a Lactation Massage. First, I’ll increase blood circulation, eliminate toxins and waste, and soften tense muscles. Once your body is relaxed and your calming hormones are active, I’ll focus on your breasts. Using lymphatic drainage techniques, I’ll open and clear milk ducts and remove any blockages around the breast or nipple. This improves milk flow and helps your baby latch more effectively.
This treatment is designed for mothers facing breastfeeding challenges like latching difficulties, inverted nipples, or reduced milk flow, which can cause sore nipples, engorgement, or weight loss in your baby. During our consultation, I will provide a gentle breast massage and work with you to create a personalised plan to improve your breast health.
