During a prenatal lactation consultation, we’ll cover all the essentials to ensure you’re fully prepared for what’s ahead. Think of it as your personal prep session: full of tips, tricks, and support to help you feel confident and ready for your baby’s arrival.
We’ll go over everything from what you can do before birth to what to expect in the first hours, days, and weeks after delivery. We’ll also touch on how to manage breastfeeding when you return to work.
We’ll focus on the key aspects of breastfeeding: latch, positioning, and recognising your baby’s feeding cues, while also addressing your unique needs. If medically indicated or if you’re curious, we can also explore antenatal expression together to help you understand your breasts and milk production better.
You’ll leave with practical advice on what the early days look like, building milk supply, preventing discomfort, and overcoming common challenges.
